Havana Bar Jump: the bars habaneros actually love

Every city has two bar maps: the one printed for visitors, and the one locals actually use. Our Bar Jump was born in our Habanaboys days and still follows the second map — the bars of the popular taste, where Havana goes out with Havana.

El Floridita bar in Old Havana — a legendary stop on the Bar Jump route

A Bar Jump night is not a pub crawl with a checklist. It is a route with rhythm: start easy, build with the music, end where the city is dancing. Along the way we mix institutions every habanero knows with small bars that never make the guidebooks — because the point was never the fanciest cocktail, it is the room, the people and the sound.

The names on the route

Fábrica de Arte Cubano (FAC) — a former factory in Vedado turned into Havana's great cultural playground: galleries, concerts, cinema and bars under one roof. On a good night, half of young Havana is there.

Jardines de 1830 — open-air salsa by the sea, where the Malecón ends and the Almendares begins. This is where our salsa nights happen: live bands, dancers of every level, and the ocean a few metres away.

Centro Cultural Bertolt Brecht — theatre, concerts and a bar scene with a loyal local crowd in Vedado; one of the city's cultural living rooms.

And then the others — the bars of the popular taste: small, unpretentious, chosen on the night itself, because a bar map drawn by habaneros changes with the season and the mood of the city. Programming at every venue varies by date, so we confirm the route when you book and adapt it to yours.

How the night flows

We usually start at golden hour — a first drink as the light goes down over the Malecón — then move with the music: FAC for art and live sets, 1830 when the salsa calls, a neighbourhood bar when the night asks for something quieter. Your driver and guide stay with you the whole night; nobody has to think about the way home.

Havana at night is not a product. It is a conversation — the Bar Jump just gets you invited to it.

Jump in — the night is ours

The Bar Jump runs from $80 per car + $5 per person, with your private guide and driver all night. Groups and families welcome — tell us your date and your rhythm.
