Cuba with Yoyo — Legal
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 21 October 2026
1. Who we are
Cuba with Yoyo is operated by Yusmel Colombo Aguilar, based in Luxembourg. We organise private, tailor-made tours in Cuba. By using this website and booking a tour with us, you accept these terms. Questions: [email protected] · +352 621 430 283.
2. What this website is
This website presents our tours and destinations. Its content is an invitation to enquire — it is not a binding offer, and browsing the site does not create a booking of any kind.
3. How a booking is confirmed
A tour is booked and confirmed only when we agree it with you in writing — through the contact form, WhatsApp or email — stating the date, the route and the price and conditions of that specific booking. That written confirmation is the agreement that counts between us. Nothing is confirmed until you receive it.
4. Price, payment and cancellation conditions
Our tours are made for groups and families — we do not sell a standard tour for solo travellers, but we happily create tailor-made experiences, priced in a written quote. Every tour is private, with a guide in English, Spanish, French or German and pick-up in Havana included.
How our prices work. Every price has two parts: the vehicle with driver (a classic car, or a minibus for larger groups) plus $5 per person for your private guide. Prices are in US dollars (USD). Entrance fees, meals and drinks are not included unless your written confirmation says so.
Guide prices (“from”):
- Havana classic car ride — 1 hour: from $30 per car + $5 per person · 3 hours: from $80 per car + $5 per person · full day (8 hours): from $130 per car + $5 per person
- Pasadía (day trip) — Viñales from Havana: from $200 per car + $5 per person
- Pasadía (day trip) — Varadero from Havana: from $140 per car + $5 per person
- Trinidad & Cienfuegos day trip from Havana (12 hours): from $300 per car + $5 per person
- Airport transfers — pick-up at Havana airport (HAV) in a classic car, with a name sign and flight tracking: from $35 per car + $5 per person; and the ride back to the airport from your lodging, timed with margin for international flights: free with any booked full tour or full experience (the return ride on its own, without a tour or experience: from $35 per car + $5 per person). Free return airport transfer included with every full tour or full experience booking. Not included with single classes.
- Bar Jump — our evening route through Havana bars: from $80 per car + $5 per person
- Real Havana neighbourhoods — beyond the tourist circuit, with local people: from $80 per car + $5 per person
- Afro-Cuban roots — culture with local protagonists: from $80 per car + $5 per person
- The Cuban countryside — fincas, tobacco vegas and guajiro life beyond the city: from $150 per car + $5 per person
- Domingo de Rumba — Sunday rumba at the Callejón de Hamel: from $80 per car + $5 per person
- El Malecón at the Cubans' hour — sunset on the seafront with the habaneros: from $30 per car + $5 per person (with the classic car ride)
- Salsa classes with Cuban teachers at world-class salsa schools: priced in your written booking confirmation
- Nights with living legends of Cuban music, Latin Cuban jazz nights and salsa at the Jardines de 1830 — at venues such as the Centro Cultural Bertolt Brecht and the Fábrica de Arte Cubano — and respectful encounters with Afro-Cuban religiosity alongside local practitioners: priced in your written booking confirmation, as they depend on venues, tickets and local hosts. Venues and programming vary by date.
- Larger groups (minibus) and tailor-made routes — including Trinidad with an overnight stay, Santiago de Cuba and Baracoa: the same vehicle + $5-per-person formula, priced in your written quote.
Booking deposit. A deposit of 20% of the agreed price reserves your tour, payable by payment link or transfer as set out in your written confirmation. The balance is paid in cash (USD or EUR) on the day of the tour, or in full in advance if we agree that in writing.
Cancellation. Cancel up to 3 days before your tour and the deposit is refunded in full. If you cancel within the 3 days before the tour, the deposit is not refunded. If we have to cancel because of force majeure (section 5), you can reschedule or hold the full amount as credit. The specific price and conditions of your booking are always the ones in your written confirmation, which prevails if anything here differs.
5. Force majeure
Hurricanes and severe weather, official restrictions, transport failures and other events beyond our reasonable control can make a tour impossible or unsafe. In that case we will offer to reschedule your tour or hold a credit for a future tour, as agreed with you in writing, case by case.
6. Your responsibilities
- A valid passport, and your visa or Cuba eVisa, where required.
- Travel insurance with medical cover. Cuba requires visitors to hold valid medical insurance for entry — arranging it is your responsibility.
- Your own health requirements, medication and fitness for the activities you choose.
- Local context. Cuba is living through severe economic hardship. Cubans are not dangerous — they are the best of this country — but a few people may try to take advantage of a situation. Agree every price in advance, as all of ours are agreed in writing, and use the same judgement you would use in any big city.
- Buildings and infrastructure. Many buildings and much public infrastructure in Cuba are old and poorly maintained, and are beyond our control. Please follow your guide’s indications, take care around deteriorated facades and balconies, and do not enter scaffolding or cordoned-off areas. We are not responsible for incidents arising from the state of third-party buildings or infrastructure that we do not control.
7. Travellers from the United States
Travel to Cuba by persons subject to US jurisdiction is restricted under the Cuban Assets Control Regulations administered by the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Your trip must fall within a general licence category — for example "support for the Cuban people" — or be otherwise authorised by OFAC. Choosing, documenting and complying with your category is your responsibility. Cuba with Yoyo does not provide legal advice about sanctions and is not responsible for any traveller's compliance with US law.
8. Photos and videos during tours
During our tours we may take photos and videos. We only use them for promotion — this website, our social media, our letter — with the consent of the people shown. You can say no at the time, or withdraw your consent at any moment by email, and we will stop using the material and remove it where we control it.
9. Our liability
We provide our services with reasonable care and local knowledge. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability in connection with a tour is limited to the amount you paid us for that tour. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer in the European Union, your mandatory consumer rights remain fully intact.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Luxembourg, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the version published here, with its date, is the one in force. Your confirmed bookings always keep the conditions of their written confirmation.
